In honor of Black History Month, we remind you of the struggle our country has with inequality. In her own fight against injustice, Elizabeth Jennings faced discrimination on her way to church in 1854 and started a movement to end segregation on public transportation. Ten years later, New York’s public transit services were fully desegregated. We’re still fighting discrimination years later and it’s up to us to made a difference. http://thefolklorist.newtv.org/episode/elizabeth-jennings/Episode 10
